A share street is a street where the car is a guest. The Dutch have led the way with this technique- implementing 'Woonerfs,' or living streets. A living street, share street, or whatever you choose to call it, is almost an oxymoron- all streets should be a 'living' part of the community, a place where we all share public space. |

Sometimes the first step in creating a share street is to change the mindset that streets are only for cars to streets are for everybody. This sign was painted for us by a fraternity here in Missoula. |
