Growing Health in 2018
March 2018: Missoula, Montana continues to be a leader in sustainable transportation, with much work to do on the horizon.  While Missoula is consistently recognized for healthy transportation options, the gaps in the system are preventing the community from reaching full potential.  Bike lanes and sidewalks stop and start, crossing big roads is too dangerous, transit stops running at 7pm and not at all on some days and the motor vehicle system is full of crashes and pollution.  While our focus is to increase walking, cycling and transit, we also work to make driving safer and more flowing. Missoula has an adopted policy to triple walk/bike/transit modes over the next couple decades.  This is a very doable goal, with concerted effort to both build and maintain a good road, trail and plaza system.  How we each choose to move around affects our own personal health, community health and planetary health.  Let's grow health togehter.  email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
